Dieting and kettlebell workout is what needs to be done.
Kettlebell Workout and Proper Dieting
The first thing that we need to talk about is this notion of calories in and calories out being the grand indictor of whether or not you will be gaining or losing weight.
Now, to some degree the age old statement of eat less and move more to lose weight can work, but even in the most effective cases weight loss doesn’t seem to match our expectations and furthermore tends to level off after 8-12 weeks. So why is it that even though we may be consuming less and exercising more we make little progress or reach an all to sudden standstill? Kettlebell Workout and proper dieting is the quickest way.
The answer as Zoe Harcombe, author of The Obesity Epidemic says lies in our understanding of basic physics. This paragraph might get a little deep but stick with me there is a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. Harcombe states that the calories in calories out model of weight loss is archaic and ineffective because we ignored our fundamental understanding of basic physics. You see, the calorie model is assuming that any energy that we take in is either used metabolically or stored as fat. The holes in this theory are quickly discovered when we look at the laws of thermodynamics, which is what the calorie model was founded upon. The laws state that in thermal equilibrium, in a closed system, energy can neither be created nor destroyed rather it can only change form. Has the flaw jumped out at you? It’s OK if we are over your head I will explain it all. The flaw to the calorie model is that it assumes that the human body is a closed energy system, which it isn’t. Something that we each do every day proves this quite easily, we all go to the bathroom don’t we? Although this may sound gross there is still some nutrituion and calories left in that toilet when you do your business. Furthermore the calorie model is based on the second assumption that we are in thermal equillibrium. I don’t know about you but I shift back and forth from hot and cold environments all day, does our body not naturally expend more energy striving towards thermal balance on a cold day then on a perfect beach weather day? Think about it…

If the last paragraph left you thinking what the hell is this guy talking about it’s OK. I am trying to get everyone to think for themselves at this point as to why weight gain is common place these days, and why it‘s so damn hard to change that without proper exercise and kettlebell workout. I will take one more stab at dispelling the calorie model so that you never have to think about it again. In the book Why We Get Fat And What To Do About It, author Gary Taubes paints a perfect picture of the flaws in the calorie model. He asks each of us to think about a common picture that we have all no doubt seen in our lives, a mother and her son in a third world country filled with poverty. There is not enough food to go around and near starvation is commonplace. The child is skinny and malnourished fighting for every piece of food to stay fed and yet ironically the mother is obese!! This presents a strange question, if the calorie model is true then this would say that the mother is eating in excess while she watches her child starve, but this would then fly in the face of everything that we know about maternal instinct. A mother would typically starve herself to death before she would ever let her child starve and yet she is still fat.
I hope the preceding story has made you think and brought up some questions about the validity of what we are being told is necessary for fat loss. If the calorie model is true how could this be? And, haven’t we all had a friend that lost a lot of weight then rebounded and got even fatter!? It happens to many people. Kettlebell workout and the right ways of dieting is essential.

First off, let’s start with why we get fat and what not to eat.
Kettlebell Workout speeds up the weight loss process.
After all of this talk about calories in and calories out and thermodynamics and third world starvation and the obesity problem, you may still have one question. Why do we get fat?
We get fat because we create a perfect hormonal environment for fat storage through the foods and combinations of foods that we eat. You only need to know a few simple things to understand why this is happening. First, the master hormone for deciding whether or not we store food as fat is called insulin. Second, when insulin spikes it tells our body to stop using fat as an energy source and to store all incoming fat for later use.
And third, our insulin is spiked when we eat any form of sugar, refined carbohydrates and unrefined carbohydrates. Using these 3 facts we can conclude that when we eat a typical meal of lets say spaghetti with marinara sauce the first thing that will happen hormonally will be increased insulin. This will inhibit the body’s use of stored fat for fuel and encourage any of the excess food being eaten including carbohydrates to convert into fat for storage. Practically a fat gain cocktail!!
So what we want to do is keep our insulin levels low so that our bodies will utilize the stored body fat for fuel turning us into a fat burning machine. The great news is that this is easy to do with a little discipline and guidance. Let’s get started with some simple steps to following the fat loss diet that we use called the Slow Carb Diet, which can be found in great detail in The Four Hour Body by Tim Ferriss.
First you want to eliminate all sugars including most fruits, all processed carbohydrates and all insulin spiking carbohydrates for 6 days each week. This leaves you with a potent, healthy and fat killing blend of meats, vegtables, legumes and some fruits, nuts and dairy. What about the 7th day? Bodybuilders have found out a long time ago that adherence to a diet is greatly increased when you get one day each week to go wild and eat anything your heart desires. Also, contemporary metabolic research says that by increasing our insulin and quantity of food our metabolism won‘t be able to become accustomed to the diet and will continue to operate at a higher efficiency because of it. I know this may sound like a diet from hell with so little to choose from but take my word for it, you will find some of the most tasty meals by eating this way and even better after the results you get during the first week you will want to stick this diet out to the end!!!
You have to trust me on this and read the next sentence very carefully. If you stick to the Slow Carb Diet for 30 days you WILL see dramatic fat loss. I know because as someone who was already fairly lean I lost 5lbs of body fat in my first week on the Slow Carb Diet and a total of 12.4lbs of fat over the first 30 days! This was accomplished with almost no exercise so I could remove the opinion of the naysayer’s who would argue that I just worked all the weight off. You too can lose 12lbs or more in the first 30 days of practicing the slow carb diet and I really urge you to give it a shot. I have used it with great success on myself and many others and that’s precisely why it is a cornerstone of the kettlebell workout KXT program. We want to deliver super productive fitness training with the most effective and easiest to follow nutrition program to help you accelerate your results beyond anything you could ever imagine.
